Galway Downs Weddings: Your Complete Temecula Wedding Guide

One of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in Temecula is Galway Downs. The sprawling oak trees around the ceremony site, the light in the bridal suite, the kick ass reception area. There is a lot to like here. Seriously.
Galway Downs sits just outside Temecula wine country and pulls off something that most venues in the valley do not quite manage. Rustic enough to feel genuine, polished enough that nothing feels like an afterthought. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony or a full 300 person celebration, the property has room for both without either feeling out of place.
I have shot weddings here more than once and every time something about it surprises me. This guide covers what you actually need to know before you book. Honest pricing, what the space is really like on a wedding day, and the questions couples always ask before signing the contract.

Galway Downs Equestrian Park Wedding Reviews
After shooting weddings here multiple times I can tell you firsthand that Galway Downs is a rad spot to get married. Seriously. The Wedgewood team runs a tight operation, the property is well maintained, and the couples I have worked with here almost always leave raving about how smoothly everything went. That is not an accident. And of course you are always more than welcome to bring in your own wedding planner if you feel more comfortable with that.
The reviews across the major platforms back that up. The Knot gives Galway Downs a 4.8 out of 5 from over 100 reviews, with couples consistently praising the coordination team and the all-inclusive package. Wedding Wire sits at the same 4.8 rating. On Yelp they hold a 4.5 from 170 reviews with a lot of people specifically calling out the oak tree grounds as the thing that sold them.
What comes up again and again is how much stress the venue takes off your plate. The planning support, the vendor guidance, the day-of coordination. For a lot of couples that is the difference between actually enjoying their wedding and spending it managing logistics. Galway Downs handles enough of it that you can actually be present for your own day.

Galway Downs Equestrian Park – Temecula Wedding Venue Features & Amenities
The ceremony site at Galway Downs is genuinely one of my favorite spots in all of Temecula wine country. Giant oak trees line the grounds and in the late afternoon the sun falls right behind them in a way that makes everything glow. The kind of light you cannot manufacture. The creek and fountain add to the whole thing without feeling overdone.
The reception is inside the Carriage House barn which sounds like it might get hot but honestly the venue stays surprisingly cool even in summer. The big thing though is that massive barn door. When it swings open for your grand entrance the whole room feels it. Tons of couples use that moment for something fun and the photos always deliver.
Being indoors also means you can actually get loud. Full band, open bar, dancing until they kick you out. The outdoor venues in Temecula are stunning but they come with sound restrictions. Galway Downs does not have that problem which changes the whole energy of a reception.
Holds up to 300 guests, bridal suites for getting ready, day-of coordination included, and the whole property is wheelchair accessible. If you want ceremony outside and reception inside without sacrificing on either, Galway Downs is one of the best setups in the valley.

Galway Downs Weddings – How Much Does It Cost?
Weddings at Galway Downs run between $25,000 and $50,000. That is a solid range for Southern California wine country, especially for a venue that gives you ceremony grounds, a barn reception space, and coordination all in one place. Event space rentals run between $995 and $8,995 depending on the season and whether you go weekday or weekend.
Packages start around $95 per guest and go up to $155 per guest for more comprehensive options. What is included across the board: dance floor, vendor recommendations, day-of coordination from the Wedgewood team, food and beverage options, access to the Carriage House, champagne toast, and both indoor and outdoor ceremony options if the weather decides to have opinions.
The equestrian center and event space can also be rented separately for rehearsal dinners, corporate events, or other celebrations if you want to use the property beyond the wedding day itself.

If you are serious about Galway Downs, schedule a tour before booking. Honestly that is the best way to get a real feel for the property. Photos do it justice but standing under those oak trees in person is a different experience entirely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Galway Downs An All-Inclusive Wedding Venue?
Yes. Galway Downs offers all-inclusive wedding packages which makes the planning process significantly less painful. Modern amenities, the barn, preferred vendor access, and coordination support are all part of the deal. If you want to actually enjoy your engagement rather than manage a hundred moving parts, that matters. And yes, Galway Downs is fully LGBTQ friendly.
Are There Hotel Options Nearby For Wedding Guests?
Plenty. Ponte Inn is right in wine country and a natural fit for guests who want to stay close to the action. South Coast Winery is another solid option nearby. If your guests want something with more energy, Pechanga Resort Casino is close and has gaming, a massive pool, great restaurants, and nightlife that will keep everyone busy well after the reception ends.
Can I Tour Galway Downs Before Booking?
Yes and you should. Schedule a walk through with their team and give yourself time to actually wander the property. The ceremony site under the oaks hits differently in person than in photos. Same with the barn. Seeing the space firsthand makes the decision a lot easier and honestly starts to make the whole thing feel real in a good way.
