Lake Oak Meadows Wedding Guide
Lake Oak Meadows is one of my favorite venues in all of Temecula wine country and I have shot at basically all of them. The fact that it is a few miles from my house does not hurt either! But hey that means if you hire me to shoot your Lake Oak Meadows wedding at least you know I could walk there if necessary!
What I love about this place is that it has a little bit of everything. A lake, vineyards, cobblestone walkways, fire features, water fountains, and string lights everywhere. Lake Oak Meadows is the kind of venue that looks great in photos regardless of the time of year or the time of day which as a Temecula wedding photographer I genuinely appreciate.
Quick disclaimer before we go any further. The photos in this guide are from a mix of Lake Oak Meadows weddings I shot about 5 years ago so please don’t judge me too hard on the old work lol. That said I wanted to give you a real and detailed look at this venue rather than just describing it, so old photos beat no photos!
This guide covers everything you need to know before booking Lake Oak Meadows. The packages, the pricing, what photographs well, what to watch out for, and honest feedback from someone who has been there many times with a camera.

Lake Oak Meadows Wedding Packages
Lake Oak Meadows offers three packages which makes the decision pretty straightforward once you know what matters most to you. Here is the honest breakdown. Keep in mind that these packages can change based on the month and date you get married. Not to mention, Temecula wedding venues are often raising prices to offset inflation costs…yes I know it sucks.
Silver Lining
This wedding package starts at $100 per person and covers the essentials. Dinner service, cash bar, champagne toast, venue coordination, DJ and MC, table linens, and centerpieces. Solid starting point if you want to keep things simple without sacrificing the setting.
Heart of Gold
For a bit more luxury, this wedding package runs $145 per person and adds a hosted bar and floral centerpieces to everything in Silver Lining. That hosted bar upgrade is worth thinking about seriously because a cash bar at a wedding can create an awkward dynamic depending on your guest list.
Platinum Promise
The full package at $180 per person. Full bar service, wedding cake, charger plates, floral centerpieces, ministry services, fire package, photo booth, and guest valet. If you want the venue to handle basically everything and you just want to show up and enjoy your day this is the one.
One thing worth noting. Pricing and package details do change so always confirm directly with Lake Oak Meadows before making any decisions based on what you read here. These numbers are a good starting point for budgeting but the venue will have the most current information.

Temecula Weddings At Lake Oak Meadows – My Personal Thoughts
Located off Glen Oaks Road in the heart of Temecula wine country, Lake Oak Meadows is one of the most unique Southern California wedding venues. The reason I, and other wedding vendors, love this wedding venue is due to several factors. First of all, the bridal suite and groom’s suite are centrally located. This makes it easy for wedding photographers, videographers, floral designer teams, and really any wedding professionals to easily bounce back and forth between the bride and groom to capture as many authentic moments as possible. Other reasons you should consider having a Lake Oak Meadows wedding include:
- Day-of Coordinator To Help Keep Your Wedding Day Flowing Like Champagne
- And Speaking Of Alcohol, A Champagne Toast For You + Guests
- Market Twinkling Lights For A Cozy, Intimate Wedding Reception
- Indoor & Outdoor Dance Floor Where You Can Let Loose, Footloose
- Amplified Music So You Can Pump WAP At Level 10
- Wheelchair Accessible Everything For Grandparents Or Drunk Guests Who Need To Be Carted Out
Lake Oak Meadows is a rad outdoor wedding venue, but I would avoid using their in-house vendor guide. I had a client who used the wedding photo recommendation from that vendor list and after TWO engagement sessions were left very disappointed in the posed and boring images. Therefore, before investing in photo booths, florals, or anything that is super important to you, please see what other options are available! You do not want shitty wedding photos I can promise you that.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Is The Ceremony Site Like?
You are getting married on a grassy peninsula right on the lake with a stone tile aisle. The fountains of fire and water are going behind you the whole time which looks absolutely insane in photos especially at golden hour. And yes there is a horse and carriage available if you want to make an entrance. I have seen it done and it never gets old.
What Are The Groom and Bridal Suites Like?
The bridal suite has two rooms including one set up specifically for hair and makeup with vanity chairs. The groom gets a separate room with a pool table which keeps everyone calm and out of trouble. Both suites are right in the middle of the property which as a photographer I really appreciate because I am not sprinting across the venue trying to catch getting ready moments.
What Does The Venue Look Like At Night?
Pretty freaking awesome honestly. Market lights everywhere, fire rings going lakeside, water features doing their thing. After dark this place looks like a completely different venue and I mean that in the best way. Night photography here is some of my favorite work I have done in Temecula. Oh, and there is this cool little dock if you want to do like a dip kiss with the fountain lit up behind you. Yes, I know it can all seem a bit cliche, but if you already rolled up to your wedding in a horse and carriage then that was the vibe you wanted anyhow. Enjoy it!
Should I Do A First Look?
Yes. The bridge on the property, the walkway near the stones, or just outside the suites near the giant tree is where I typically shoot first looks. You get your portraits done before the ceremony which means you can actually hang out with your guests during cocktail hour instead of disappearing for an hour. In general, I think a first look is a good idea, but we can work around wherever you want. I will give you my professional advice, but at the end of the day whatever you want is what we roll with!
